These images were captured for my favorite model and inspirational muse Katarina who needed new headshots for her portfolio. Photographers often have inner battles in their attempt to conquer the lighting challenge. Sometimes the simplest lighting solution is overlooked for the complexity of lighting technology. Simplicity rules in these images. Diffused lighting underneath a long north facing corridor of columns was the backdrop. The wide columns served as the neutral background. The model held a reflector to bounce some light back into her face. Simple and effective! Images captured with the spectacular Fuji X-E1 and 35mm f/1.4 combo.
